Antonio R. Sandoval, 69, of Soledad, passed away at home, surrounded by family, Sunday, April 23, 2017.

Antonio was born January 17, 1948 in Santa Maria, Texas and had been a resident of Monterey County for almost 60 years. He served in the US Army from 1968 to 1971 and was owner of Sandoval Brothers Inc, serving many Northern California valleys with farm labor. Antonio enjoyed watching wrestling, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and was very outgoing with a boisterous personality. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years; Martha Sandoval; children; Yvonne Sandoval, Jessica Sandoval, Marco Sandoval, Maria (Antonio Garcia IV) Sandoval-Garcia; grandchildren, Sabrina Flores, Bridget Flores, Mikayla Morga, Nathan Hernandez, Destiny Sandoval, Xavier Sandoval, Antonio Garcia V, Alizah Garcia, Alyvia Garcia; siblings, Baldemar (Graciela) Sandoval, Nelda Garcia, Noemia (Luciano) Lugo, Gilbert Sandoval Jr; sister-in-law, Christine Sandoval; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salome & Rosa Sandoval; siblings, Albert R. Sandoval, Gilberto Sandoval, Aurelia De Luna, and Alberto Sandoval.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm at Woodyard Funeral Home, Soledad, followed with rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10 am at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church, Soledad, followed with burial at the Soledad Cemetery.
